The California Energy Commission’s Alternative and Renewable Fuel and Vehicle Technology Program (ARFVTP) has announced the availability of up to $37,096,215 million in grant funds for low carbon biofuel production projects at new and existing biofuel production facilities. Existing biofuel production facilities must expand or modify facilities to increase production capacity. Eligible biofuels include diesel substitutes, gasoline substitutes, and biomethane.
As directed by California Health & Safety Code, the intent of this solicitation is to encourage the production of alternative and renewable transportation fuels in California that can significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, displace petroleum fuel demand, and stimulate economic development.
The deadline to submit the pre-application abstract is August 24, 2016. The deadline to submit the full application is November 14, 2016. For more information, visit the California Energy Commission website.
