Representatives from the nearly 100 local Clean Cities Coalitions gathered in Tennessee at Oak Ridge National Lab August 30 to Setpember 1. At this annual meeting, U.S. Department of Energy staff led discussions on topics including updates to DOE tools and resources, lessons learned from the Recovery Act projects administered through Clean Cities, increasing collaboration with “Smart Mobility” and Department of Transportation initiatives, and next steps for the Volkswagen diesel settlement funding. Look forward to more communication and programming around these issues from the San Diego Regional Clean Cities Coalition going forward.
The national meeting was also an opportunity to catch up with other Coalitions and learn from their efforts. Participation in the national Clean Cities network gives San Diego stakeholders access to resources, expertise, and experience far beyond our county borders. Contact San Diego Regional Clean Cities Coalition staff to explore how you can benefit from these connections.
