On Tuesday, September 4, David L. Greene, Fellow at the Howard H. Baker, Jr. Center for Public Policy and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, will be presenting “Low Carbon Transportation: A Crucial Link to Economic and National Security” at the Cal/EPA Building in Sacramento at noon. Dr. Greene will share research on how U.S. dependence on petroleum has significant economic impacts and shifting to a low carbon transportation system can provide a number of economic and national security advantages. He will outline how increasing efficiency and substituting alternative fuels for petroleum can translate into hundreds of billions of dollars in benefits annually.
