Interested in making a difference this summer? Work with Clean Cities and help the nation reduce its dependence on petroleum, lower carbon and local air pollutant emissions, and build a green economy! The San Diego Regional Clean Cities Coalition has been awarded funding by the U.S. Department of Energy for an internship for summer 2013 and is looking for the right student for the job.
The position will support the Coalition’s mission to increase the deployment of alternative fuel vehicles and infrastructure, and will housed at the California Center for Sustainable Energy. The student will work with regional stakeholders to research the barriers to infrastructure development, increase public awareness of technologies such as plug-in electric and compressed natural gas vehicles, and coordinate with other coalitions to explore statewide opportunities. The internship lasts 10 weeks and interns work for 30-40 hours/week. Stipends range from $3,600-$6,000, depending on academic classification and hours worked.
