The South Coast AQMD is pleased to announce release of the Combustion Freight and Marine Project category of the Volkswagen (VW) Environmental Trust Program.
This competitive solicitation is open to eligible owners of in-use Class 7-8 freight trucks, refuse trucks, concrete mixers and dump trucks, as well as switcher locomotives, ferries, tugboats and towboats throughout California. Funding for the first installment of $30 million is now available statewide to all public and private entities.
The eligibility funding table can be accessed here and our Frequently Asked Questions here. Applications will be evaluated based on cost-effectiveness of NOx emissions reduced. More than 50 percent of the total project funds are expected to benefit disadvantaged and low-income communities.
