The San Diego Air Pollution Control District (APCD) announced today that they are now accepting applications for projects to be funded under the Carl Moyer Program. Approximately $3 million is available to “owners of eligible commercial vehicles and equipment that include: heavy-duty diesel trucks, marine vessels, locomotives, agriculture, emergency vehicle, and off-road equipment.”
Funding will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. So get your completed applications submitted soon. Visit the San Diego County APCD site for more info and application forms.
Through the Carl Moyer Program, funding is available for projects including equipment replacement, engine repowers, engine retrofits, and new purchases. Information on the Carl Moyer program is here: http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/moyer/moyer.htm.
Through the Voucher Incentive Program (VIP), small fleets (10 or fewer vehicles) are eligible to apply for replacement or retrofit of older on-road heavy-duty diesel vehicles.
