Course #504 In-Use Off-Road Diesel Vehicle Regulation TrainingDate: December 5, 2013 Time: 9:00am-12:00pm
The Air Resources Board has a regulation to reduce emissions from existing off-road diesel vehicles used in California in construction, mining, and other industries. The In-Use Off-Road Diesel Vehicle Regulation (Off-Road Regulation) requires fleet owners to report to ARB and label their off-road vehicles now, and then requires fleets to reduce the emissions from their older equipment beginning in 2014. This course provides detailed information to help fleet owners understand and comply with the Off-Road Regulation.
This course will cover:
• The applicability of the Off-Road Regulation;
• Requirements currently in effect;
• Future compliance deadlines including fleet emission requirements;
• Overview of the Diesel Off-Road Online Reporting System (DOORS)

Course #505 Large Spark-Ignition Fleet Regulation TrainingDate: December 5, 2013 Time: 1:00pm-3:00pm
The Air Resources Board has a regulation to reduce emissions from existing off-road vehicles with large spark-ignition (LSI) engines used in California. These vehicles are found in public and private industries as diverse as manufacturing, wholesale & retail goods movement, utilities, and construction. The In-Use Off-Road Large Spark-Ignition Engine Fleet Regulation (LSI Fleet Regulation) requires fleet operators to conduct a baseline inventory of their fleet and then achieve fleet average emission standards. Recently, ARB adopted amendments to the LSI Fleet Regulation that clarified requirements for fleets involved in agricultural, forest, and equipment dealer operations; reinstituted limited hours of use provisions; and broadened compliance extension provisions. Owners of off-road vehicles with LSI engines (mentioned above) are strongly encouraged to attend this training.
This course will cover:
• The applicability of the LSI Fleet Regulation;
• Current and future fleet average requirements;
• Recordkeeping requirements;
• Compliance extension provisions.
